Playing in his 400th career game, captain Claude Giroux notched two assists for the second straight contest and Steve Mason (20 saves) watched as Penguins captain Sidney Crosby hit the post with one second remaining.

The Flyers picked up where they left off on Saturday as Schenn cleaned up a loose puck in the slot at 2:06 of the first period. Simmonds deflected defenseman Kimmo Timonen's blast at 6:47 before converting on his third attempt from in close nearly seven minutes later to give Philadelphia a 3-0 advantage.

Orpik and Niskanen trimmed the deficit with shots from the point before Read converted a 2-on-1 rush with a wrist shot from the left circle at 12:11 of the second period. Megna answered four minutes later by redirecting Brian Gibbons' centering feed, but the Penguins were unable to net the equalizer.
