Jalen Hurts passed for two touchdowns and ran for one Sunday as the Philadelphia Eagles beat the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers 27-13 for their franchise-record 10th consecutive win.
Reportedly playing with a broken finger on his left (non-throwing) hand, Hurts completed 25 of 32 passes for 290 yards with TDs to A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. He ran for 45 yards and his 14th rushing TD of the season.
The Eagles (12-2) leaned on a passing game that was under fire all week amid drama regarding the relationship between Hurts and Brown (eight catches for 110 yards). Smith added 11 grabs for 109 yards on a day when NFL leading rusher Saquon Barkley was limited to 65 yards on 19 carries.
The Steelers (10-4) have lost 11 consecutive road games in this Pennsylvania rivalry, with their last win in Philadelphia coming in 1965.
Yet despite losing for just the second time in nine games, Pittsburgh still clinched a playoff berth courtesy of losses by the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts.
Russell Wilson completed 14 of 22 passes for 128 yards and one touchdown for the Steelers, who were held to 163 yards of offense by Philadelphia's No. 1 defense.
Hurts and Brown were on the same page early, hooking up four times for 48 yards in the first quarter. Their 5-yard touchdown connection put the Eagles up 10-3 with 1:13 left in the quarter.
Hurts' 2-yard strike to Smith pushed the lead to 17-3 with 9:07 remaining in the second quarter.
Pittsburgh didn't pick up a first down until its sixth possession. That drive ended with Wilson's 9-yard TD pass to Pat Freiermuth to pull within 17-10 with 2:34 until halftime.
Chris Boswell's 49-yard field goal with 37 seconds left in the half trimmed Philadelphia's lead to 17-13.
The Eagles opened the third quarter with a 13-play drive, capped by Jake Elliott's 41-yard field goal for a 20-13 lead.
On the second play of the fourth quarter, Hurts took it in from the 1 to make it 27-13. The drive began when Darius Slay recovered a fumble by Najee Harris.
Philadelphia chewed up 10 minutes and 29 seconds on its final possession to run out the clock.
