Carson Wentz threw two touchdown passes and Rodney McLeod returned a fumble for a score as the host Philadelphia Eagles recorded a 23-9 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.

Travis Fulgham and Jalen Reagor caught touchdown passes for the Eagles (3-4-1), who have won three of their past five games. Boston Scott rushed for 70 yards on 15 carries and Fulgham had six catches for 78 yards.

Wentz completed 15 of 27 passes for 123 yards but committed four turnovers -- two interceptions, two fumbles. He has thrown an NFL-worst 12 interceptions this season.

Rookie Ben DiNucci was 21-of-40 passing for 180 yards with a long gain of just 15 in his first NFL start for Dallas (2-6), which lost its third straight game. DiNucci, a third-stringer before Dak Prescott's season-ending ankle injury in Week 5, started because Andy Dalton was sidelined with a concussion.

Greg Zuerlein kicked three field goals for the Cowboys, who have just 22 points in the past three games Prescott has missed. Ezekiel Elliott rushed for 63 yards on 19 carries and Michael Gallup had seven receptions for 61 yards.

Dallas outgained Philadelphia 265 to 222 but was just 4 of 16 on third-down conversions.

The Eagles moved ahead for good with 1:54 remaining in the third quarter when Wentz hit Fulgham on a 9-yard touchdown pass. The ensuing two-point toss to Reagor gave Philadelphia a 15-9 lead.

Dallas reached the Eagles' 21-yard line in the fourth quarter before DiNucci lost the football when he was sacked by T.J. Edwards. A battle for the ball ensued, and it was batted upfield before McLeod picked it up and raced 53 yards for a score with 5:18 remaining.

A short time later, the Cowboys were backed up on their 11, and long snapper L.P. Ladouceur was instructed to snap the ball out of the end zone to set up a free kick. The safety extended Philadelphia's lead to 14.

The Cowboys had allowed at least 20 first-half points in six consecutive games before the much-improved defensive play that allowed them to lead 9-7 at the break.

Zuerlein's 49-yard field goal started the scoring before the Eagles took a 7-3 lead when Reagor caught a 2-yard scoring pass from Wentz with two seconds left in the quarter.

Zuerlein connected again from 49 yards to pull Dallas within one with 9:46 left in the second quarter. He later made a 59-yarder in heavily windy conditions with six seconds remaining to push the Cowboys ahead.
