Auburn stormed out to a 28-0 lead. White accounted for two touchdowns in the first quarter, including a 48-yard scoring strike to freshman receiver Kyle Davis. Johnson added a pair of short touchdown runs in the second quarter.

Louisiana-Monroe scored on the last play of the second half, with quarterback Garrett Smith hooking up with receiver Marcus Green for a short touchdown to cut the deficit to 28-7 at halftime.

Auburn opened second half with three straight touchdown drives to put the game away and head to Mississippi State with momentum.

The Tigers outgained Louisiana-Monroe 688-251. Coach Gus Malzahn's team rushed for 410 yards and enjoyed a 36-16 edge in first downs.

White finished an efficient 14 of 17 for 239 yards and two touchdowns.
