No. 2 Florida State 42, Louisville 31: Freshman Dalvin Cook rushed for two touchdowns - including the go-ahead score with 3:46 remaining - as the visiting Seminoles scored 35 second-half points to extend their school-record winning streak to 24 games.

Cook needed only nine carries to run for 110 yards and reigning Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston overcame an ankle injury and a career-high three interceptions to throw for a season-high 401 yards and three touchdowns for Florida State (8-0, 5-0 ACC). Nick O'Leary finished with 76 yards receiving and recovered a key fumble late in the first half as the Seminoles tied Ohio State (2012-13) and Boise State (2009-10) for the fourth-longest winning streak in the FBS over the last 20 seasons.

Michael Dyer rushed for 134 yards and a career-high three touchdowns for Louisville (6-3, 4-3), which saw its 22-game home winning streak under coach Bobby Petrino halted. Gerod Holliman picked off two passes to tie Anthony Floyd’s single-season school record of 10 interceptions while Will Gardner threw for a personal-best 330 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

James Burgess intercepted Winston after Dyer scored from 4 yards out early in the second quarter and Dyer paid it off moments later with a 12-yard TD run before Holliman picked off another pass and Gardner connected with Gerald Christian on an 11-yard score to make it 21-0. O'Leary fell on top of Karlos Williams’ fumble in the end zone with 33 seconds left in the first half to get the Seminoles on the board before intermission.

Florida State scored twice in a span of 3:34 in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 24-21 on Winston’s 68-yard heave to Travis Rudolph and Dalvin Cook’s 40-yard sprint. Winston gave the Seminoles their first lead with 12:48 remaining when he threaded a pass in between three defenders to Ermon Lane for a 47-yard touchdown and Florida State answered Dyer’s 1-yard plunge just under 3½ minutes later with Cook’s 38-yard gallop and Freddie Stevenson’s 35-yard TD catch.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Dyer’s first TD with 12:13 left in the second quarter ended a streak of 14-plus quarters – spanning 219 minutes, 24 seconds – in which Florida State had not allowed a rushing score. … Louisville has recorded a FBS-high 18 interceptions, two more than it did in 13 games last season. … Seminoles K Roberto Aguayo missed his only field goal attempt, snapping his school-record streak of 23 consecutive conversions.
