No. 23 LSU 10, No. 3 Mississippi 7: Anthony Jennings threw a go-ahead touchdown pass with 5:07 left and the host Tigers turned in a dominant defensive effort to stun the Rebels.

Jennings was just 8-for-16 for 142 yards and threw two interceptions, but led the Tigers on a 13-play, 95-yard drive and hit Logan Stokes for a 3-yard touchdown for LSU's only lead of the night. Leonard Fournette rushed 23 times for 113 yards for LSU (7-2, 3-2 SEC), which rolled up 264 rushing yards against an Ole Miss unit that entered the game ranked fifth in the nation against the run.

Bo Wallace finished 14-of-33 for 176 yards and a touchdown for Ole Miss (7-1, 4-1), but was stopped on a quarterback sneak on fourth-and-1 at the LSU 47-yard line with 1:44 remaining and threw an interception with two seconds left after the Rebels opted to forgo a 47-yard field goal attempt. Laquon Treadwell caught four passes for 71 yards and Cody Core grabbed a touchdown pass for the Rebels.

The Tigers put together an impressive drive late in the first quarter, but Fournette fumbled near the goal line and Ole Miss recovered in the end zone for the touchback. The Rebels then drove 80 yards in six plays with Wallace hitting Core for a 15-yard touchdown and a 7-0 lead.

LSU cut the lead to 7-3 at halftime on Colby Delahoussaye's 21-yard field goal before enduring drives ending in three punts and two interceptions before the march that resulted in the go-ahead score. The Rebels lined up for a Gary Wunderlich field-goal attempt for the tie with nine seconds left, but opted for a deep pass after a delay of game penalty pushed them back five yards, and Ronald Martin picked off Wallace's heave near the goal line.
