Stanford's Josh Nunes struggled to a 7-of-15 passing performance for 136 yards, but threw a 70-yard touchdown pass as the Cardinal (6-2, 4-1) kept their Pac-12 title game hopes alive. Ryan Hewitt's 1-yard touchdown run gave Stanford a 17-10 lead in the third quarter.

Jeff Tuel was 43-of-60 for 401 yards with two touchdowns and an interception - 27-of-33 for 253 in the first half - for Washington State (2-6, 0-5). Tuel was sacked five times in the first quarter as the Cougars lost their fifth straight to Stanford.

Tuel's 3-yard touchdown pass to Dominique Williams, who got a foot down in the corner of the end zone, capped an 11-play, 88-yard drive and gave the Cougars a 7-3 lead with 8:13 left in the second quarter. Nunes answered 47 seconds later with his career-long strike to Jamal-Rashad Patterson to put Stanford back on top 10-7.

Reynolds' score gave the Cardinal a 24-10 lead with 10:43 remaining before Tuel's 10-yard touchdown pass to Kristoff Williams with 6:29 left. The Cougars got the ball back with 3:37 remaining before Tuel was sacked by Henry Anderson at the Stanford 29 as time expired.
