Vanderbilt 17, Auburn 13: Zac Stacy became the Commodores’ all-time leading rusher, racking up 169 yards and the go-ahead touchdown in a win over the visiting Tigers.

Stacy's stellar effort gave him 2,670 career rushing yards, surpassing the old record of 2,632 set by Frank Mordica in 1979. Stacy capped his milestone day by giving Vanderbilt (3-4, 2-3 SEC) the lead for good with a 2-yard plunge with 7:34 left in the third quarter.

The Commodores overcame three turnovers, including a late fumble by Stacy with 2:20 left, to hold off Auburn (1-6, 0-5).

Wesley Tate - the brother of NFL receiver Golden Tate - had a 7-yard touchdown run in the first quarter while Jordan Rodgers completed 15 of 25 passes for 173 yards for Vanderbilt.

Auburn tailback Tre Mason rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries, but quarterback Clint Moseley compiled only 98 yards in the air as the Tigers opened 1-6 for the first time since 1952.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Vanderbilt has won back-to-back meetings after losing the previous 13 encounters. The Commodores lead the all-time series 21-20-1. ... Auburn is the first team in the Associated Press poll era to open a season 1-5 within two years of winning a national title. ... The Tigers host Texas A&M next week while the Commodores host Massachusetts.
