Montel Harris rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown and Chase Rettig passed for 152 and a score as Boston College outlasted Virginia, 17-13, on Saturday.

Andre Williams added 109 rushing yards on 12 carries for the Eagles (6-5, 4-4 ACC), who have won four in a row to become bowl eligible.

Boston College tied it at 10-10 on Rettig’s 39-yard touchdown pass to Alex Amidon with 1:25 left in the first half. But the Cavaliers got the ball back and worked into Eagles territory, getting a 40-yard field goal from Robert Randolph to take a 13-10 lead into the break.

Harris scored his touchdown in the third when he capped a 96-yard drive with a 4-yard scoring burst. Williams came up with the big play on the drive, breaking off a 60-yard run to take it down to the Virgina 4-yard line.

The Cavaliers (4-7, 1-6) had a chance to take the lead with under five minutes left in the game but a drive stalled inside the red zone and Randolph missed a short field goal attempt.
