Dan Persa threw two touchdowns to Jeremy Ebert and led a clinching scoring drive in the fourth quarter to lift Northwestern past host Indiana, 20-17, Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

With the win, Northwestern (6-2, 2-2 Big Ten) becomes bowl eligible for the third straight season.

Persa completed 18 of 28 passes for 218 yards before leaving the game midway through the fourth quarter with an undisclosed injury.

Persa's second touchdown pass to Ebert went for 30 yards and put the Wildcats up 17-10 in the third quarter. The Wildcats' duo also hooked up on an 11-yard score in the first half. Stefan Demos kicked two field goals, including a 45-yarder that put Northwestern up two scores with seven minutes to play.

Indiana quarterback Ben Chappell ran for a 5-yard touchdown and threw a 39-yard touchdown to Duwyce Wilson late in the fourth quarter.. Mitch Ewald added a 23-yard field goal for Indiana (4-3, 0-3 Big Ten), which has lost two straight. Chappell completed 30 of 54 passes for 308 yards.

Northwestern travels to Penn State next week. Indiana will try to get back on track at home against Iowa.
