Mike Hartline threw three second-half touchdown passes, leading Kentucky back from an 18-point halftime deficit, and Anthony Mosley intercepted a Stephen Garcia pass in the end zone to seal a 31-28 home victory against No. 12 South Carolina on Saturday.

A week after knocking off then-No. 1 Alabama, the Gamecocks (4-2, 2-2 SEC) squandered a 28-10 halftime lead en route to their seventh consecutive SEC road loss.

Hartline threw three of his four touchdown passes in the second half, including a 24-yard strike to Randall Cobb that gave the Wildcats their first lead with 1:15 left. Hartline finished with 348 yards on 32-for-42 passing with four touchdowns and no interceptions.

Chris Matthews caught 12 passes for 176 yards and a touchdown for Kentucky, which snapped a three-game losing streak.

South Carolina built its big lead on the strength of freshman running back Marcus Lattimore, who scored three touchdowns in the first half -- two rushing and one receiving. Lattimore rushed for 75 yards on 14 carries and caught four passes for 133 yards, but injured his ankle and did not play in the second half.

Garcia threw for 384 yards on 20-of-32 passing with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Kentucky (4-3, 1-3 SEC) played without running back Derrick Locke, who sat out with a shoulder stinger and bruised elbow suffered in last week's loss to Auburn. Locke entered the day leading the SEC and ranking seventh in the nation with 174.7 all-purpose yards per game.

The Gamecocks had won 10 consecutive meetings with Kentucky dating back to 1999. South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier dropped to 17-1 all-time against Kentucky.
