Not even an extra down could have helped Colorado in their 26-0 loss to No. 22 Missouri on Saturday on the 20th anniversary of the 5th down game.

The Tigers (5-0, 1-0 Big 12) took a 2-0 lead when Colorado quarterback Tyler Hansen was called for intentional grounding in the end zone. Missouri also deflected a punt, blocked a field goal and executed a fake punt for a 26-yard gain in the first half

Blaine Gabbert threw two touchdown passes, and backup James Franklin threw another for Missouri. Michael Egnew caught two touchdown passes.

Hansen finished 15 of 21 for 117 yards. Former starter Cody Hawkins replaced Hansen late in the third quarter, and finished 16 of 25 for 133 yards and an interception.

Colorado (3-2, 0-1) defeated Missouri 33-31 on Oct. 6, 1990 when the officials lost track of the downs, and allowed the Buffaloes an extra play, which they scored on to end the game.
