The last time UCLA played in Austin, the Bruins posted a 66-3 victory over Texas.

Saturday's score was not nearly as decisive, but the result was just as shocking.

Visiting UCLA, a 17-point underdog, rushed for 263 yards on its way to a 34-12 upset of No. 4 Texas.

The Bruins took advantage of three Texas turnovers in the first half to take a 13-3 lead into the break and never looked back.

After Justin Tucker opened the scoring with a 31-yard field goal for Texas, the Bruins scored the game's next 20 points. UCLA got a pair of field goals by Kai Forbath (39 and 49 yards) and Kevin Prince connected with Ricky Mavray for a 1-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

The Bruins (2-2) extended the lead on their first possession after halftime when Jonathan Franklin scored on an 11-yard run. Texas cut it to 20-6 on a Tucker's 34-yard field goal in the third. Then Prince scampered 38 yards for the back-breaking score with less than a minute left in the third quarter. He threw for just 27 yards in the game.

Franklin had 116 yards on 19 carries and Derrick Coleman rushed for 94 yards, including a 29-yard in the game's final minute.

The Longhorns' Garrett Gilbert completed 30 of 45 for 265 yards and a late touchdown. Texas fell to 3-1.
