Cody Endres threw two touchdown passes in place of an ineffective Zach Frazer and UConn used a dominating second half to post a 45-21 victory over Buffalo on Saturday.

Jerome Junior and Blidi Wreh-Wilson each returned an interception for a touchdown as the Huskies (2-2) outscored the Bulls 31-7 after intermission.

Endres provided the spark the Huskies needed after a lackluster first half, which ended in a 14-14 deadlock.

The junior finished 7-of-11 for 139 yards after taking over for Frazer, who was 7-of-14 for 94 yards and an interception. Endres’ 56-yard touchdown pass to Michael Smith put the Huskies up 24-14 with 10:24 left in the fourth.

Robbie Frey, who ran for 112 yards in place of the injured Jordan Todman, scored on a 9-yard run to make it 31-21 with 3:58 left in the third.

Endres then extended the lead with a 6-yard toss to Ryan Griffin.

Jerry Davis threw for 227 yards, with three touchdowns and three interceptions, for Buffalo. The Bulls fell to 1-3.
