Maryland waited a quarter before putting away visiting Morgan State.

The Terrapins scored 28 unanswered points in the second quarter en route to a 62-3 rout of the visiting Bears, Saturday in College Park, Md.

Quarterback Danny O'Brien, who replaced starter Jamarr Robinson, was the star of the second quarter, throwing for three touchdowns to put the Terrapins (2-0) up 45-0 at the half. O'Brien hit Matt Furst, Torrey Smith and Da'Rel Scott on three series to open up the game against the Bears (1-1).

Robinson threw two touchdowns in the first quarter, before giving way to O'Brien. Robinson hit Torrey Smith for a 5-yard touchdown to take an early 7-0 lead. Robinson followed that up with a 20-yard pass to Adrian Cannon with 5:20 left to take a 14-0 early lead.

Kicker Travis Baltz made it 17-0 with a 47-yard field goal late in the first quarter.

Maryland's D.J. Adams rushed for two touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
