Senior guard KeVaughn Allen scored 12 of his game-high 21 points in overtime, and Noah Locke made a pair of clinching free throws with 8.6 seconds left to lift Florida to an 82-77 victory over No. 13 LSU on Wednesday night in Baton Rouge, La.

The Gators (15-11, 7-6 Southeastern Conference) outscored LSU 18-13 in overtime, handing the Tigers (21-5, 11-2) their second loss in five overtime games this season. LSU had won 14 of its previous 15 games while Florida extended its winning streak to three.

LSU had a chance to win the game in regulation, but Tremont Waters, who struggled with 3-of-12 shooting on the night, missed a 30-footer at the buzzer, and the game went to overtime at 64.

Naz Reid, who had 16 points and 15 rebounds for LSU, scored the Tigers' last seven points in regulation.

In overtime, Waters gave LSU a brief 65-64 lead by making one of two free throws, but Allen began his offensive assault with a jumper then later a pair of 3-pointers within a minute of each other, which gave Florida a 76-70 lead with 1:12 left.

After Waters made it 80-77 with a deep 3-pointer, LSU had one last chance to tie the game after forcing a steal in the backcourt. But Waters' 3-point attempt from the left wing was short.

LSU, normally a reliable foul-shooting team, struggled throughout the game, going 16 of 25. Florida got 15 points each from Locke and Jalen Hudson.

Florida controlled the tempo in the first half with its 1-2-2 zone, leading 33-31 behind 12 first-half points from Hudson off the bench. Florida made good use of its inbound plays, twice scoring easily on layups in the half.

Florida used a 7-2 spurt in the first two minutes of the second half to take a 40-33 lead, its largest lead of the game. Allen got the final basket in the run, a 3-pointer from the right wing.
