V.J. Beachem and Bonzie Colson led a balanced attack with 16 points apiece and Notre Dame rolled to a 92-49 victory over Seattle in a Legends Classic regional game on Wednesday at Purcell Pavilion.

Steve Vasturia and Matt Farrell each had 13 points, Rex Pflueger scored 12 and Temple Gibbs added 11 for the Irish (2-0) in the first-ever meeting with the Red Hawks.

Matej Kavas topped Seattle (1-2) with 11 points.

The Irish broke away from an early 4-4 tie as Beachem capped a 15-2 run with a 3 pointer and a dunk over a 14-second span for a 19-6 lead at the 12:04 mark.

Notre Dame opened a 20-point, 38-18 lead six minutes later on two Beachem free throws and pushed past 30 at 56-25 by halftime.

The Irish lead never slipped under 26 points in the second half. They turned a 56-30 advantage into an insurmountable 67-30 gap with an 11-point run and opened a 40-point lead at 81-41 on Gibbs’ 3 pointer with 5:54 to play.

Notre Dame shot 49.2 percent (32 of 65) from the field and hit 15 3 pointers while Seattle was 16 of 55 (29.1 percent).

The Irish host Loyola-Maryland in a Friday non-conference game and resume play in the 10th Legends Classic on Monday against Colorado at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The Red Hawks continue Legends play on Monday against Louisiana-Monroe in Cheney, Wash.

The four-game tournament features eight teams and concludes next Tuesday.

Notre Dame opened season on Nov 12 with an 89-64 Legends Classic home win over Bryant.
