Junior forward Dinos Mitoglou scored a career-high 28 points, and Wake Forest used torrid second-half shooting to pull away from LSU for a 110-76 victory Thursday night at Lawrence Joel Coliseum in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Mitoglou drained eight 3-point baskets to lead six players in double figures.

The Demon Deacons made 12 of their first 14 second-half shots from the field. Shortly after, they had canned 7 of 7 on their 3-point attempts in the half.

Bryant Crawford added 20 points and 10 assists for the Demon Deacons, while John Collins and Austin Arians each scored 15 and Keyshawn Woods had 14. Reserve Mitch Wilbekin added 10 points.

Mitoglou shot 10 of 14 from the floor to help the Demon Deacons to their season-high point total and their largest margin of victory.

The Demon Deacons ended up with 16 baskets from 3-point range on 26 attempts.

Antonio Blakeney scored 21 for LSU (8-3), which lost to the Demon Deacons for the second season in a row.

Craig Victor had 14 points, while Tigers forward Duop Reath, who had reached 20 points in his two previous games, was held to 12 points, including only two in the first half when he dealt with foul trouble.

Wake Forest began the game with a 10-0 burst and then had a 12-1 run to start the second half.

The Demon Deacons held several 10-point leads in the first half before settling for a 43-38 lead at the break.

Wake Forest is 9-3 through its non-league schedule for the second season in a row. The Demon Deacons have an undefeated home record in non-conference games for the second time in four seasons.
