Junior guard Daryl Macon scored 15 points, grabbed six rebounds and handed out five assists and Arkansas used a big second-half run to pull away from North Dakota State for a 71-55 win Tuesday at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, Ark.

Senior forward Moses Kingsley, the preseason SEC player of the year, added 11 points and eight rebounds for the Razorbacks (10-1), who have won seven in a row.

North Dakota State tied the game 29-29 early in the second half on a jumper from Carlin Dupree. But Arkansas answered with a 24-8 run, capped by a 3-pointer by Anton Beard that put the Razorbacks ahead 53-37 with 8:32 to play. Beard finished with 11 points off the bench.

Junior guard Paul Miller led the Bison (8-5) with 17 points and freshman guard Tyson Ward came off the bench to add 10 points.

A 3-pointer by A.J. Jacobson gave North Dakota State an early 8-7 lead, but Arkansas led the rest of the way in a low-scoring first half. Kingsley hit a jumper with five minutes left in the first half to put the Razorbacks up 25-19.

Neither team shot the ball well in the first half. The Bison made just eight field goals and shot 26.7 percent from the floor in the first half. Arkansas didn't take full advantage of North Dakota State's cold shooting, though. The Razorbacks shot just 36.7 percent from the floor and led only 27-21 at half.

Arkansas will host Sam Houston State on Thursday before opening SEC play against Florida on Dec. 29.

North Dakota State will try to bounce back against rival South Dakota State on Dec. 28.
