RALEIGH, N.C. -- Junior guard Anthony Barber, the Atlantic Coast Conference scoring leader, poured in 30 of his career-high 38 points in the second half as North Carolina State defeated Wake Forest 99-88 on Saturday afternoon at PNC Arena.

N.C. State has won the last 11 home meetings with Wake Forest.

Barber shot 10 of 20 from the field and 17 of 20 from the free-throw line.

Guard Maverick Rowan's 20 points, forward Caleb Martin's 18 points and forward Abdul-Malik Abu's 11 points also boosted N.C. State (13-12, 3-9 ACC).

Guard Codi Miller-McIntyre scored a season-high 24 points for Wake Forest (10-15, 1-12), which is winless in ACC road games in two seasons under second-year coach Danny Manning.

The Demon Deacons, who are on a 10-game losing streak, received 16 points from guard Brant Crawford and 15 points and 21 rebounds from forward Devin Thomas.

Wake Forest built a 67-61 edge before momentum shifted. N.C. State broke a 79-79 tie with five consecutive points from Abu.

N.C. State led 46-44 at halftime, holding the lead for the fifth time in ACC play at the break. Wake Forest shot 55.6 percent in the first half, but committed eight turnovers.

Wake Forest took an 18-8 lead on the strength of eight points from Miller-McIntyre.

N.C. State was up 32-26 by the 8:06 mark, with Caleb Martin draining back-to-back 3-pointers.
