Andrew Chrabascz scored a career-high 30 points, including six in overtime, as the visiting Bulldogs downed the Golden Eagles.

Kellen Dunham added 17 points and Alex Barlow had 15 for Butler (16-6, 6-3), which won for the fifth time in six games. Chrabascz was 11-of-17 from the field and went 7-of-7 at the free-throw line for the Bulldogs, who also received a career-high 18 rebounds from Kameron Woods in enjoying a 47-33 advantage on the glass.

Matt Carlino and Duane Wilson scored 18 apiece to pace Marquette (10-11, 2-7 Big East), which couldn’t hold a 58-50 lead in the final 2:20 of regulation and saw its season-long losing streak grow to five games. The Golden Eagles, who also received 12 points from Luke Fischer and 12 points and seven rebounds from Juan Anderson, shot 38.1 percent from the field.

A Wilson layup gave Marquette a 60-58 lead to start the overtime period, but Chrabascz and Dunham hit baskets and Chrabascz hit a pair of free throws to put the visitors up 64-60 with 1:58 left. Butler still led 68-65 with 25 seconds to play and, after an Anderson lay-in cut the advantage to a point, Dunham drained four free throws sandwiched around a Carlino free throw to seal the Bulldogs’ comeback win.

Butler scored the game’s first seven points and never trailed in the first half en route to taking a 29-26 lead into intermission. Marquette, though, scored five quick points coming out of halftime to take its first lead of the game, then steadily upped its advantage to 55-45 and led 58-50 with 2:20 remaining before the Bulldogs scored the final eight points of regulation to send the contest into overtime.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Butler, which finished 17-of-18 from the free-throw line, won for the first time in the Bradley Center since 1991 and has won five of the last seven in the series. … Marquette now has been outrebounded in 15 of 21 games this season. … The teams will close out the regular-season series Feb. 25 in Indianapolis.
