Tulsa 78, USF 71 (OT): Rashad Smith scored 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting as the host Golden Hurricane outlasted the Bulls in overtime in American Athletic Conference action.

James Woodard added 16 points, including a team-high four 3-pointers for Tulsa (16-5, 9-0 AAC), which won its 11th straight game. Rashad Ray contributed 13 points off the bench and Brandon Swannegan set career highs with 12 points and 15 rebounds for the Golden Hurricane, who controlled the boards 44-30.

Corey Allen Jr. notched a career best with 32 points for USF (7-15, 1-8), which lost its seventh consecutive game. Anthony Collins added 19 points and Nehemias Morillo had 15 for the Bulls, who shot 50 percent from the field.

Tulsa chipped away at an early Bulls lead, eventually establishing a 23-19 advantage with just under six minutes left in the half before USF responded with an 11-5 run, led by seven points from Collins and Allen's 3-pointer at the buzzer that sent the Bulls into the locker room with a 33-30 edge. After the break, a Swannegan layup gave the Golden Hurricane a 48-46 lead with 9:33 to play, but USF answered with a layup from Collins and a dunk from Troy Holston Jr. to jump back in front.

Allen drained a floater over Swannegan and converted a three-point play to push the Bulls in front 62-60 with 45 seconds remaining, but Ray's layup on the following possession knotted the score, setting the stage for overtime. In the extra frame, Woodard opened the scoring with a 3-pointer on the first possession and Smith struck twice more beyond the arc as the Golden Hurricane finally found enough to ward off a valiant effort from USF.

GAME NOTEBOOK: USF F Chris Perry missed his third straight game with an undisclosed health issue. ... Tulsa missed 11 of its first 12 3-point attempts before connecting on six of its final 12 to finish 7-of-24 for the game. ... Neither team shot well from the free-throw line, with the Golden Hurricane connecting at a 55.6 percent clip and USF, the AAC's worst free-throw shooting team entering Saturday, converting 53.8 percent.
