No. 6 Louisville 85, Wake Forest 76: Montrezl Harrell finished with 25 points and 13 rebounds as the visiting Cardinals won their ACC debut.

Chris Jones scored 20 of his 22 points in the second half and handed out a career-high 10 assists for Louisville (13-1, 1-0), which finished on a 17-7 run. Terry Rozier contributed 18 points for the Cardinals before fouling out in the waning seconds.

Devin Thomas produced a career-high 31 points to pace the Demon Deacons (8-7, 0-2), who shot 52.8 percent from the floor but just 53.1 percent from the free-throw line. Codi Miller-McIntyre and Mitchell Wilbekin added 14 points apiece for Wake Forest.

Harrell made his fifth and sixth 3-pointers of the season in the first half and Anton Gill was good from beyond the arc in the final minute of the period to help the Cardinals take a 46-35 lead at the break. The Demon Deacons scored the first 10 points of the second half and later grabbed their first lead since early in the first on Miller-McIntyre's basket with roughly 13 minutes to go.

A basket by Konstantinos Mitoglou maintained Wake Forest's one-point advantage with less than six minutes left before Jones scored four straight points and Rozier hit a jumper to make it 74-69 with just over two minutes to go. Jones threw an alley-oop to Harrell, hit a tough leaner and then had a steal and two free throws for an 80-71 lead with 57 seconds remaining as Louisville closed out the first meeting between the teams since the 1996 NCAA Tournament.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Louisville has won its first conference road game in eight straight seasons. ... Thomas was 11-for-14 from the floor and grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds. ... G Shaqquan Aaron chipped in career highs of 11 points and five rebounds off the bench for the Cardinals.
