DePaul 83, Wisconsin-Milwaukee 61: Billy Garrett Jr. led all five starters in double figures with 18 points — including 11-of-11 shooting from the free-throw line — as the Blue Demons easily dispatched the visiting Panthers.

Tommy Hamilton IV added 15 points and nine rebounds while Myke Henry collected 15 and seven for DePaul (6-1). Jamee Crockett scored 13 points for the Blue Demons, who went 10-of-18 from beyond the arc and 21-of-23 from the free-throw line.

JeVon Lyle and Steve McWhorter scored 13 points apiece as Milwaukee (4-5) dropped to 0-3 on the road. Matt Tiby hauled in 10 rebounds to go with eight points for the Panthers.

Garrett buried a 3-pointer in a 7-0 burst to start the game and DePaul never trailed. Durrell McDonald’s 3-pointer pushed the lead to 17-4 eight minutes into the contest and the Blue Demons cruised into the break with a 38-24 cushion.

The lead swelled to 19 points early in the second before the Panthers made a move, cutting the deficit to 59-50 with nine minutes left. Crockett and Henry each added a 3-pointer over the next two minutes and DePaul steadily pulled away again, pushing it to 75-56 on Hamilton’s free throws before coasting to the finish.

GAME NOTEBOOK: DePaul put all five starters in double figures for the third time this season. … The Panthers went 4-of-23 from 3-point range, with the starters combining for 1-of-14. … The Blue Demons are 6-1 for the first time since 1993-94.
