Carlino continued to fire away, pouring in 12 more points in the first nine-plus minutes of the second half – including two more 3-pointers– as Marquette remained in front.

Bolden connected on his second 3-pointer to push Georgia Tech within 49-47 with 8:47 left, but Anderson and Carlino drained triples on back-to-back possessions as the Eagles stretched their lead to 11 with 3:46 remaining. Georges-Hunt scored eight points over the final 2:46 and the Yellow Jackets rallied within one on two occasions late, but Marquette hit seven free throws in the last 51 seconds – including five from Carlino – to hold on.
