No. 9 Texas 78, Saint Francis (Pa.) 46: Freshman Myles Turner scored a season-high 25 points as the host Longhorns dispatched a pesky Red Flash squad to remain undefeated.

Cameron Ridley added 16 points and Kendal Yancy 12 for Texas (5-0), which shot 57.1 percent from the floor and held a 43-21 advantage on the glass. The 6-11 Turner – one of the most highly-recruited players in the nation – connected on 11-of-12 shots, including all three 3-point attempts, and added 10 rebounds and three blocks.

Malik Harmon scored 15 points for St. Francis (2-3), which handled the Texas pressure well, committing just 10 turnovers. Ben Millaud-Meunier scored nine points for the Red Flash, who shot 31 percent from the floor.

Texas jumped to a quick 9-2 lead and it looked like the rout was on, but St. Francis wouldn't let the Longhorns run away, pulling within 31-23 on a 3-pointer by Millaud-Meunier and two free throws from Earl Brown. Texas answered with a 3-pointer from Turner and a dunk at the buzzer by Ridley for a 13-point lead.

The Longhorns scored six quick points to open the second half and pushed the lead to 21 on a layup by Yancy, but the Red Flash answered with 3-pointers from Millaud-Meunier and Harmon with 15 minutes to play. Texas put the game away with a 15-point run highlighted by 3-pointers from Yancey and Turner and a three-point play by Jordan Barnett.
