Drexel 85, Alabama 83 (3OT): Chris Fouch had 19 points to lead the Dragons in the consolation game of the NIT Season Tip-Off at Madison Square Garden.

Frantz Massenat scored 17 points for Drexel (4-2) and Tavon Allen added 16 points. Kazembe Abif, who missed Wednesday's game with concussion symptoms, had 15 points and 11 rebounds – including eight on the offensive end – off the bench.

Nick Jacobs led Alabama (3-3) with a career-high 23 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Trevor Releford poured in 21 points and Retin Obasohan chipped in with 18.

Alabama led by four with less than two minutes in regulation, but Fouch got a steal and a layup with 12 seconds left to force overtime. Obasohan hit free throws at the end of the first two overtimes to extend the game and got away with an uncalled foul in the final seconds of the second extra period.

Massenat's jumper and four free throws by Abif gave the Dragons an 83-77 lead. Alabama rallied and had a chance to tie in the final seconds but Releford missed a 3-pointer, Jimmie Taylor missed two free throws and Releford missed the putback as time expired.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Drexel led 32-21 at halftime and Jacobs gave Alabama its first lead at 52-50 with a layup with 4:33 left in the second half. ... Alabama fell to 11-13 at Madison Square Garden and 4-3 in triple-overtime games. ... Releford had only two points at intermission.
