No. 13 Iowa 85, No. 16 Michigan 67: Roy Devyn Marble scored 22 of his 26 points in the first half and made six 3-pointers as the Hawkeyes routed the visiting Wolverines in Big Ten play.

Aaron White contributed 11 points and eight rebounds and Mike Gessell had 10 points, eight assists and three steals as Iowa (18-6, 7-4) dominated from the outset. Melsahn Basabe grabbed 10 rebounds and scored eight points.

Caris LeVert scored 22 points and Zac Irvin added 19 for Michigan (17-6, 9-2), which lost for the second time in three games. Nik Stauskas also scored in double digits with 10 points.

Marble set the tone with three 3-pointers for Iowa’s first nine points and the Hawkeyes held a 14-point lead midway through the half. Marble’s sixth 3-pointer capped a 7-0 half-ending run as Iowa took a 43-29 lead into the break.

The Hawkeyes led by 15 just under seven minutes into the second half but Michigan was unable to make a run. Iowa went on a 16-4 surge to boost the lead to 72-45 with seven minutes left and cruised to the finish.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Marble raised his career point total to 1,529, passing Andre Woolridge (1994-97) to move into 10th place in school history. …. Wolverines F Glenn Robinson III had just two points on 1-of-7 shooting. … Iowa collected 15 offensive rebounds and had a 38-29 edge on the boards.
