Jaye Crockett scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the host Red Raiders cruised past the Roadrunners.

Randy Onwuasor provided a spark off the bench with 15 points for Texas Tech (6-2), which shot 54 percent from the floor. Aaron Ross added 13 points in a reserve role, while Jordan Tolbert chipped in with 12.

Phillip Jones led the way with 12 points and nine rebounds for Texas-San Antonio (1-6), which shot just 4-of-22 from beyond the arc. Kaj-Bjorn Sherman scored 11 points for the Roadrunners, who committed 18 turnovers.

Texas Tech started slowly before Tolbert keyed a 14-5 run that gave the Red Raiders a 21-12 lead with under seven minutes left in the first half. Crockett's layup extended the advantage to 16 and Texas Tech took a 37-20 edge into the break.

The Red Raiders opened up the second half with a 10-3 run that put them up by 24, with the lead growing to as much as 35 in the final 20 minutes. Texas Tech's bench scored 48 points en route to the Red Raiders' second straight win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Texas Tech is 5-1 all-time against Texas-San Antonio. … Dusty Hannahs had made 15 consecutive free throws before missing one against UTSA. ... The Roadrunners have not beaten a Big 12 opponent since downing Baylor on Dec. 13, 2003.
