No. 17 Oregon 69, Utah Valley 54: Joseph Young scored 20 points as the host Ducks pulled away from the Wolverines.

Johnathan Loyd chipped in 12 points for Oregon (3-0), which scored 107 points in its previous game Wednesday. Mike Moser had eight points and a game-high nine rebounds.

Mitch Bruneel and Hayes Garrity had 15 points apiece while combining to shoot 13-for-22 from the floor for Utah Valley (2-2). Their teammates combined to shoot 9-for-36.

Oregon took a 20-4 lead on Moser's basket midway through the first half before Utah Valley began to chip away. The Wolverines pulled within 29-25 at the break and were within three points on Garrity's layup with 16:43 remaining.

Young answered with a three-point play to ignite a decisive 19-2 burst, capped by Waverly Austin's layup on a feed from Young midway through the half to make it 53-33. Utah Valley, which was just 5-for-8 from the line, never got closer than the final margin.
