Georgia Tech 65, Saint Mary's 56: Brandon Reed scored 16 of his game-high 19 points in the second half as the Yellow Jackets rebounded from their first loss of the season to beat the Gaels in the consolation game of the Global Sports Classic in Anaheim, Calif.

The game was marred by poor shooting by both teams. Georgia Tech (4-1) shot 38.2 percent from the floor while Saint Mary's (4-2) connected on only 37 percent of its attempts

Even Gaels sharpshooter Matthew Dellavedova struggled, scoring just five points on 1-of-8 shooting from the field and 1-of-6 from 3-point range.

Saint Mary's, which lost to Pacific in the semifinals, led 26-22 at intermission before the Yellow Jackets opened the second half on a 12-2 run. Marcus Georges-Hunt later hit a 3-pointer with 8:12 to play to give Georgia Tech a 42-40 lead and it never trailed again.

Georges-Hunt, Robert Carter Jr. and Mfon Udofia all scored 11 for Georgia Tech. Stephen Holt led the Gaels with 10 points.
