La Salle 77, Villanova 74 (OT): Tyreek Duren had a key steal with 32 seconds remaining in overtime, followed by the game-winning layup as the host Explorers knocked off the Wildcats at Gola Arena.

Duren took advantage of Villanova freshman Ryan Arcidiacono's sixth turnover to give La Salle the ball late in the extra session. After a timeout, the junior guard gave the Explorers (3-1) their first lead since the 3:51 mark of the first half.

Mouphtaou Yarou had a chance to put the Wildcats back in front but missed a jumper with eight seconds left. Steve Zack hit a pair of free throws to help La Salle ice the game.

Ramon Galloway led the Explorers with 26 points and Duren finished with 23, including five in overtime. Zack pulled down half of La Salle's rebounds with 14. Villanova controlled the boards for the first time in four games 36-28.

The Wildcats (3-3) never trailed in regulation after taking a 26-25 lead with 3:51 left in the first half but a pesky La Salle squad overcame an 11-point deficit, tying the game on four occasions throughout the second half, including a 3-pointer from Duren that sent the game to overtime. Yarou led Villanova with 20 points and JayVaughn Pinkston pitched in 19.
