Texas 68, Texas Christian 59: Ioannis Papapetrou scored 15 points and Connor Lammert added 13 as the Longhorns downed the Horned Frogs in Big 12 play.

Myck Kabongo added 12 points and seven assists as the Longhorns (12-14, 4-9 Big 12) won on the road for the first time in eight attempts this season.

Garlon Green scored 15 points to pace TCU (10-16, 1-12), which lost its fourth straight game. Nate Butler Lind tallied 12 points and Kyan Anderson added 10 points and eight assists.

The Horned Frogs trailed by 12 early in the second half before whittling away at the deficit to tie the score at 48 on two free throws by Butler Lind with 8:42 remaining. The Longhorns answered with a 10-2 spurt with Lammert’s three-point play making it 58-50 with 5:32 to play.

Texas shot 59.1 percent from the field in the first half and led 33-25 at the break. The Longhorns led by as many as 10 in the opening half.

Texas has won 10 of the last 11 meetings. … TCU F Devonta Abron grabbed 11 rebounds, one shy of his season-best output. … Papapetrou made four of the Longhorns’ seven 3-pointers.
