Darrun Hilliard scored 17 points and JayVaughn Pinkston added 10 as the host Wildcats routed the Bulls in Big East play.

Mouphtaou Yarou contributed nine points and 10 rebounds as Villanova (15-9, 6-5 Big East) limited South Florida to 11 field goals while completing a two-game regular-season sweep.

Javontae Hawkins scored 13 points for South Florida (10-13, 1-10), which has lost six straight games and 10 of 11. The Bulls shot 23.4 percent from the field and were 1-of-17 from 3-point range.

South Florida’s fifth and final field goal of the first half came with 9:11 remaining and it left the Bulls trailing 16-11. Villanova outscored South Florida 21-5 the remainder of the session for a 39-16 lead at the break.

The onslaught continued in the second half as Villanova’s lead reached 50-20 on Hilliard’s 3-pointer with 13:23 remaining and the Wildcats cruised to their fourth victory in six games.
