Colorado 58, Washington State 49: Spencer Dinwiddie scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half as the visiting Buffaloes pulled away late to snap a two-game losing streak.

Freshman Xavier Johnson came off the bench to score 14 points for Colorado (12-6, 2-4 Pac-12), which held the Cougars to 34.5 percent shooting from the field, including 5-for-24 from 3-point range. The Buffaloes, who entered the game shooting 66.1 percent from the free throw line, made 5-of-6 free throws in the final minute and finished 19-for-24.

Mike Ladd and Brock Motum scored 13 points apiece for Washington State (10-8, 1-4). Motum, who entered as the second-leading scorer in the Pac-12 at 19.4 points, was 5-for-16 from the floor, including 2-for-7 from beyond the arc.

The teams combined to shoot 33.3 percent in the first half as Colorado led by as many as seven before settling for a 23-19 lead at the break. Freshman Josh Scott and Johnson combined for 15 with Scott scoring nine, including 5-of-6 from the free throw line.

After Motum's 3-pointer gave Washington State a 37-35 lead with 10:25 left, a pair of Askia Booker step-back jumpers sandwiched a three-point play by Dinwiddie and gave the Buffaloes a five-point lead with 7:59 to go. A 3-pointer by Dexter Kernich-Drew brought the Cougars to within 44-42 before the Buffaloes sealed it with a 9-2 run.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Colorado F Andre Roberson entered the game trailing Siena's O.D. Anosike 11.77-11.76 for the top rebounding average in the nation. Anosike had nine Saturday to drop his average to 11.63, while Roberson grabbed seven and fell to 11.5. ... Buffaloes coach Tad Boyle, who is in his third season, became the fastest in school history to reach 60 wins. ... Colorado snapped a five-game losing streak on the road in Pac-12 regular-season games.
