No. 20 Cincinnati 68, Rutgers 58: Cashmere Wright led the way with 23 points and the visiting Bearcats held the Scarlet Knights to four first-half field goals to even their Big East record.

JaQuon Parker recorded 11 points and eight rebounds, while Sean Kilpatrick added 10 points for Cincinnati (14-3, 2-2 Big East), which had lost its last two games at home. Titus Rubles added seven points and 11 rebounds for the Bearcats, who had a 41-34 edge on the boards.

Myles Mack scored 15 points to lead Rutgers (11-4, 2-2), which had its seven-game home win streak snapped. Scarlet Knights’ leading scorer Eli Carter was held to six points on 1-of-11 shooting from the field – 0-of-6 from beyond the 3-point arc.

Cincinnati had none of its six turnovers in the first half and limited the Scarlet Knights to 4-of-19 from the field. Four different players had one 3-pointer each as the Bearcats built a 27-15 lead at intermission.

The Bearcats scored the first six points of the second half and held Rutgers without a field goal for almost nine minutes before Dane Miller’s put back with 15:44 left in the game. The Scarlet Knights were able to get no closer than eight.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Cincinnati, which made 23 of its 32 free-throw attempts, has won all six of its games away from home. … Rutgers, which shot 37.7 percent from the field, had a chance to start 3-1 in the Big East for the first time. … Cincinnati leads the series 13-4 and has won six of the last seven meetings.
