Texas A&M 67, Houston Baptist 59: Elston Turner led three players in double figures with 17 points as the host Aggies shook off the Huskies’ upset bid.

Turner’s 3-pointer with 4:31 remaining capped a 7-0 spurt and gave Texas A&M (10-3) a 54-47 advantage. Houston Baptist (4-10), which has lost nine of its past 10, cut it to 54-51 on Anthony Hill’s 3-pointer with 3:46 left before the Aggies scored six consecutive points to seal the victory.

Texas A&M, the top 3-point shooting team in the SEC at 39.4 percent, finished just 2-for-8 from 3-point range. That and a big rebounding advantage for Houston Baptist (30-19) kept the Huskies in the game.
