Iowa State 80, Yale 70: Will Clyburn scored a game-high 17 points as the Cyclones rallied from a 12-point deficit to pull away from the visiting Bulldogs.

High-scoring Iowa State (10-3) put six different players in double figures. Tyrus McGee and Georges Niang both scored 14 points off the bench while Melvin Ejim had 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Yale, which hasn't beaten a Division I team since Dec. 5 when it edged Bryant, took its biggest lead 35-23 on a 3-pointer by Austin Morgan with 2:45 left in the first half, but that turned out to be the only field goal for Yale's leading scorer. The Bulldogs led 35-27 at the half

Jeremiah Kreisberg led Yale (4-10) with 16 points. Javier Duren had 12 points off the bench and freshman Justin Sears added 11 points and seven rebounds.

Iowa State trailed for much of the game until tying the score at 55 with 9:11 to play on a Korie Lucious 3-pointer. The Cyclones, who average 82.2 points - sixth in the nation, then took the lead on a McGee 3-pointer and never trailed again.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Cyclones open Big 12 play in their next game, at Kansas on Jan. 9. ... McGee has made at least one 3-pointer in every game this season. ... Chris Babb finished with 11 points for Iowa State and Lucious had 10. The Cyclones were 7-for-21 from 3-point range.
