South Dakota State 70, New Mexico 65: Nate Wolters scored a game-high 28 points to go with seven assists and four rebounds, leading the visiting Jackrabbits to a huge upset over the No. 17 Lobos.

South Dakota State got double-digit efforts from four players overall to hand New Mexico its first loss of the season after 12 straight wins. The Lobos (12-1) narrowly got by New Mexico State last time out in their lowest margin of victory of the season.

Chad White pitched in 13 points for the Jackrabbits (10-4), who won on the road for only the second time in six tries this season. Jordan Dykstra went for 10 points and 10 rebounds and Brayden Carlson contributed 10 points.

Kendall Williams led New Mexico with 21 points and Tony Snell added 13 but the Lobos shot just 38.5 percent from the field, compared to South Dakota State's 48 percent clip.

South Dakota State had a 38-34 lead at the half and didn't relinquish it after the break, leading by as many as nine points down the stretch.

GAME NOTEBOOK: New Mexico fell to 2-1 all-time against Summit League teams in its first meeting against South Dakota State. ... The Lobos last lost at home to Wake Forest 81-64 on Dec. 22, 2004.
