Garlon Green scored a game-high 20 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead the host Horned Frogs past the Jaguars.

Adrick McKinney added 12 points and a game-high nine rebounds, while Kyan Anderson chipped in with 11 points to help TCU (7-4) snap a two-game losing streak and improve to 6-2 at home.

Southern (4-6) saw its three-game winning streak end and fell to 1-5 on the road. The Jaguars were led by Derick Beltran, who scored 17 points. Jameel Grace had 12 points and Malcolm Miller added 12 points and a team-high eight rebounds off the bench.

TCU led 35-31 at halftime. Southern cut the Horned Frogs’ lead to 39-37 on Grace’s layup with 18:12 left in the game, but TCU produced an 8-2 run to push its advantage to double digits.

The Horned Frogs shot 50 percent (24-of-48) from the field, while Southern was 20-of-50 (40 percent).

GAME NOTEBOOK: TCU outrebounded Southern, 32-25. … Southern shot 72.2 percent (13-of-18) from the foul line compared to TCU’s 69.6-percent shooting (16-for-23). … TCU’s Devonta Abron came off the bench and had eight points and seven rebounds.
