Baylor 85, Lamar 68: Freshman Isaiah Austin recorded season highs with 23 points and 17 rebounds as the Bears snapped a two-game losing streak at home.

Pierre Jackson scored 21 points and Cory Jefferson added 10 points and eight rebounds for Baylor (6-3).

Lamar (1-9), which has not played a home game this season, lost its fifth straight contest. The Cardinals were led by Amos Wilson's 21 points and Rhon Mitchell's 19.

Baylor opened up 35-19 advantage on a 3-pointer by Jackson with 5:35 left in the first half. Lamar rallied and tied the game at 42 on a jumper by Donley Minor early in the second half. But the Bears got back-to-back 3-pointers from Jackson and Brady Heslip and quickly opened up a 51-44 lead with 14:16 to play.

Lamar, which lost at Louisiana-Lafayette 77-60 on Tuesday, seemed to hit the wall in the second half. After cutting a double-digit lead down to three midway through the period, they appeared to run out of gas.
