Iowa State 83, Brigham Young 62: Will Clyburn scored a career-high 32 points and the host Cyclones snapped a two-game losing streak.

Melvin Ejim added 13 points and point guard Korie Lucious contributed 12 points and nine assists as Iowa State (5-2) snapped Brigham Young's three-game winning streak.

Clyburn, a transfer from Utah who scored 41 points in two games against BYU in 2010-11, collected 22 of his points in the first half to stake Iowa State to a 48-37 lead.

Brandon Davies scored 20 points, including 13 in the second half, for the Cougars (5-3), but leading scorer Tyler Haws was limited to nine points on 4-of-13 shooting.

Chris Babb buried a 3-pointer to cap an 8-0 spurt to close the first half for the Cyclones, who never saw the lead dip under double figures the rest of the way in improving to 5-0 against BYU.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Clyburn is the first Iowa State player to score 30 points since Jake Anderson had 33 against Colorado in the 2011 Big 12 Conference tournament. ... It was the first true road game for BYU, which lost twice in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic last month. ... The Hawkeyes improved to 10-1 all-time vs. West Coast Conference schools
