Texas A&M 78, Northwestern State 65: Senior guard Elston Turner's 17 points led four starters in double figures as the host Aggies cruised past the Demons.

Freshman guard J'Mychal Reese followed up Turner's performance with 15. The Aggies were also boosted by junior guard Fabyon Harris who scored 11 and senior forward Ray Turner who added 10.

Northwestern State (3-2) held an early 6-5 lead four minutes into the game, but a 12-0 Texas A&M run quickly shifted the momentum and the Demons never led again. The Aggies led 38-28 at halftime.

Senior guard Shamir Davis paced Northwestern State with 18 points and freshman guard Jalan West scored 16. The Demons trailed by as much as 23 in the second half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Texas A&M has won 43 of its last 48 home games against unranked opponents. … The Aggies hold a 5-2 series lead over the Demons after winning their fifth straight. … Elston Turner's impressive night followed up his game-winning shot in Texas A&M's 55-54 vicory over Washington State on Nov. 20.
