No. 22 Oklahoma State 81, Portland State 58: Markel Brown recorded game-high 23 points and dished out five assists as Cowboys jumped to an early 11-point lead before cruising past the visiting Vikings.

Le'Bryan Nash added 20 points as Oklahoma State (5-0) shot a season-best 57.1 percent from the field - including 46.7 percent (7-of-15) from 3-point range.

Renado Parker and Michael Harthun scored 12 points apiece to pace Portland State (1-3), which dropped its third straight - all on the road.

Oklahoma State held an 18-point lead at intermission and was never really threatened in the second half, leading by at least 15 points the entire way.

Freshman Phil Forte followed up his career-best 17 points in the Cowboys' win over North Carolina State with 15 points.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The 23-point loss was Portland State's largest of the season, just eclipsing a 21-point setback in its last game against Portland. … Marcus Smart's nine assists in the game ranked as the third most for a freshman in Oklahoma State history. … Oklahoma State is off until Saturday when it travels to face Virginia Tech. Portland State will finish up a four-game road swing with against Loyola Marymount on Saturday.
