Iowa State 88, Campbell 68: Tyrus McGee scored 13 of his game-high 16 points in the first half and the Cyclones took control in the second to remain unbeaten.

The Cyclones (3-0), who shot 47.1 percent and made 11 3-pointers, led by 18 after Georges Niang’s layup with 9:31 remaining. Will Clyburn added 15 points and eight rebounds.

Darren White scored a team-high 20 points for Campbell (2-2), which trailed 36-28 after closing the first half with an 8-3 run. Trey Freeman added 13 and Darian Hooker chipped in 12.

Melvin Ejim and Chris Babb scored 13 points apiece for the Cyclones, who won their 10th straight home game dating to last season. Niang added 11 points and five rebounds.

The Cyclones entered the game leading the nation in rebounding margin at plus-24.5, but owned just a 36-34 edge over the Cyclones.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Iowa State’s Korie Lucious recorded nine assists, giving him five or more in the Cyclones’ first three games. …Babb returned after serving a three-game suspension for a violation of team rules. …Iowa State was 11-for-30 shooting (36.7 percent) from beyond the arc.
