New Mexico (4-2) quickly put this game out of reach, scoring three quick baskets in the first minute of the game and jumping out to a 30-13 advantage by the six-minute mark of the first half. Hugh Greenwood punctuated an impressive first half with a 3-pointer from NBA range that staked the Lobos to a 41-25 advantage.

Boston College made a bit of a run in the second half scoring 10 unanswered points and frustrating the Lobos with their 1-3-1 zone to pull within eight points. New Mexico recovered, however, to regain a comfortable double-digit advantage.

Drew Gordon led the Lobos with 18 points and 12 rebounds, his second double-double of the season. Tony Snell added 13 points for New Mexico, which had six different players contribute at least six points apiece.

Matt Humphrey and Lonnie Jackson each scored 12 points to lead the Eagles (2-4), who have yet to score 70 or more points this season.
