Arnett Moultrie celebrated his 21st birthday Friday with 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Mississippi State won the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer with a 67-57 victory over No. 16 Arizona at Madison Square Garden.

The Bulldogs (4-1), who defeated No. 18 Texas A&M in the semifinals, scored the first seven points and closed the game with a 13-4 run as Mississippi State never trailed in the two games against ranked teams.

Moultrie, a junior forward who sat out last season after transferring from Texas-El Paso, scored double figures for the third time in five games this season and finished with his third double-double of the season.

The Bulldogs won their 18th tournament in school history - the last was the 2000 Bank One Fiesta Bowl Classic, also a victory over Arizona for the title.

Moultrie scored nine points in the first six minutes to help the Bulldogs build a 16-9 lead. Moultrie then picked up his second foul and sat out the rest of the first half.

Solomon Hill led Arizona (4-1) with 12 points.
