Seton Hall had four starters score in double figures to beat St. Joseph’s 78-70 on Friday and reach the final of the Charleston Classic.

Seton Hall (3-0) got 18 points from Jordan Theodore, 17 each from Herb Pope and Fuquan Edwin and 13 from Aaron Cosby. The Pirates tailed 39-32 at the half, but used a 9-2 run to open the second period and took the lead for keeps on Pope’s layup with 9:58 that gave them a 56-55 lead.

St. Joseph’s (2-1) was led by Carl Jones, who made 12 of 17 from the field, including four 3-pointers, to score 38. Jones scored 21 in the first round against Georgia Tech. Ronald Roberts Jr. added 10 for the Hawks.

The win was the second in a row for the Pirates in the series, which St. Joseph’s leads 17-13.

Seton Hall will face Northwestern in the championship game Sunday at 8:30 p.m., with the loser playing St. Joseph’s in the consolation game at 6 p.m.
