Temple 80, Fordham 60: Juan Fernandez scored a game-high 19 points as the No. 25 Owls earned their first outright Atlantic 10 title since 1989-90.

Ramone Moore finished with 16 points and six assists and Micheal Eric added 11 points for Temple (24-6, 13-3 A-10), which defeated the Rams for the sixth consecutive time.

Temple, which led 40-30 at halftime, maintained at least a three-possession lead throughout the entire second half. The Owls extended their lead to 70-55 on Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson’s layup with 6:17 remaining.

Hollis-Jefferson finished with 10 points for Temple, which shot 50 percent or better from the field for the 13th time.

Fordham (10-19, 3-13), meanwhile, lost for the ninth time in its last 10 games en route to its fourth straight finish at the bottom of the Atlantic 10 standings. Over the last four years, the Rams have won only five league games.

Chris Gaston had a team-high 18 points and nine rebounds and Alberto Estwick added 11 points for Fordham, which shot 20 percent from 3-point range.
