HARVARD 56, PENNSYLVANIA 50: Corbin Miller scored a career-high 17 points off the bench as the No. 21 Crimson earned their sixth straight victory over the host Quakers.

Harvard (21-2, 7-0 Ivy) extended its winning streak to nine games.

Kyle Casey also scored 17 points and Keith Wright added a team-high 13 rebounds for the Crimson, who haven’t lost since a 60-54 setback against Fordham on Jan. 3.

Two of the last three meetings in the series were decided by one point and this game appeared to be headed in the same direction. The Quakers (12-11, 4-2), who trailed 28-23 at the half, used a 7-0 run midway through the second half to tie the score at 30 with 12:31 left.

Harvard suffered an eight-minute scoring drought and Penn didn’t hit its first field goal of the second half until Zack Rosen’s layup with 13:10 left.

Miller’s 3-pointer with 11:35 left helped Harvard regain the lead, and the Crimson used a 14-4 run over the next three minutes to stretch the advantage to 44-34.

Penn got within 53-50 with 23 seconds left on a Rosen 3-pointer, but Harvard converted 3-of-4 free throws down the stretch.

Rosen, the Quakers’ leading scorer, finished with a team-high 16 points and six assists, but shot only 6 for 21 from the field as Pennsylvania lost for the second time in six games. Miles Cartwright added 12 points.

Harvard, which is off to its best start in program history, has held every Ivy League opponent to 60 points or less.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Wright finished with two blocks and is three away from tying Harvard’s all-time record. ... The Crimson shot 21.1 percent from 3-point range.
